"Goat" found at last
Fri 13 February 2015 - A man cutting grass off the Solomon Hochoy Highway near Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba stumbled upon a decomposing body lying in the bushes Friday.
Around 6:30 AM police were called and arrived to begin their investigations. The remains of the body matched the description of 35-year-old Azard "Goat" Ali.
When police went to remove the body, they found a chrome 9mm pistol underneath. It is believed to be the murder weapon used to shoot Salma Chadee last month.
Ali was wanted for the murders of both Salma Chadee and his ex-wife Sherlene Mahangoo-Charles. He was also wanted for the shooting and critically wounding of his 14-year-old stepdaughter, Kimberly Mahangoo.
The body was taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St James for DNA testing and an autopsy is to be performed soon.
