Junior Greenidge 43 years - MURDERED (Gunshot)

A COUVA man was shot dead and his two neighbours wounded on Tuesday in the third shooting in Central Trinidad in less than a week. 
Junior Greenidge, 43, of Teelucksingh Street, died at hospital after being shot by gunmen. 

MURDER TOLL 227 - JUNE 2016

TWO men are dead while a woman remains in serious condition at hospital following a shooting incident in La Canoa, Santa Cruz, yesterday morning.
These latest killings have pushed the murder toll to 227 for the year thus far, a 15 per cent increase when compared to the 196 murders at the same period in 2015. - EXPRESS

Brian Vespry - Murdered by gunshots - June 2016

CEDROS resident Brian Vespry was killed near a drug block in Arima on Sunday.
Vespry was shot multiple times and died on the street.
At around 9.45 p.m. Vespry was at Walnut Drive, Calvary Hill.
Residents told police they heard explosions and later found Vespry bleeding from gunshot wounds.
Vespry was later pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to the Forensic Sciences Centre for an autopsy on Monday. - Express

Videsh Singh, 34 yrs - MURDERED - Gun shot

A man was shot while walking along a track in Princes Town on Tuesday.
Videsh Singh, 34, died while undergoing treatment at the Princes Town Health Facility.
Police were told that at around 1.40 p.m. Singh and another man were walking along the track off Theodore Street when they were approached by a man who pulled out a gun and began firing.
Singh was shot several times. His companion ran away.
Singh lived at King Street, First Branch, Princes Town with his wife and two sons, ages 11 and six.
A relative said Singh worked as a gardener in Williamsville and was returning home when he was accosted by the gunman.
The relative who asked not to be identified described Singh as a hard worker and committed husband and father.
The relative said it was sad Singh would not be around to experience and share the joy when his son brings home his Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) results soon.
The relative said: “His brother and wife went out to look for him and found him lying in the track. He was shot in the chest area at least six times.”
Singh was described as “very ambitious”, having acquired land from another relative in Williamsville to do gardening.

Selwyn Gaff - Shot MURDERED (June 8th 2016)

A GROUP of men walked into the forest off Covigne Road in Diego Martin last weekend but returned later one man less.
The man who was left behind, identified as Selwyn Gaff, was found days later suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died at hospital. According to reports, the men went into the forest at about midday on Sunday and shot Gaff in his torso, leaving him to die in the forests. One of the men who was in the group, at midday on Monday, told police that Gaff was shot and left in the forest.

Police journeyed into the forests where they found Gaff lying in some bushes, weak but alive. Gaff was rushed to the St James Medical Facility but died later. Officers are now searching for the other men in the group. The man who made the report, said that he took so long to do so because he was afraid to speak to police. He is said to be still assisting officers in their enquiries  - NEWSDAY

Kareem Jelani St Rose 23 yrs - Murdered - June 19th 2016

A ROBBERY gone awry is believed to be the reason a Petit Valley man was stabbed multiple times about the body, thrown from the vehicle in which he was a passenger and left along the roadway to die, in Port of Spain on Sunday night.
It is believed that Kareem Jelani St Rose, 23, of Simeon Road, Petit Valley, fell prey to robbers who were on the prowl for unsuspecting members of the public by pretending that the car was being plied for hire from Port of Spain to West Trinidad.
St Rose's lifeless body was found at the corner of Wrightson Road and French Street in Woodbrook shortly before 10 p.m. by police officers who received information from members of the public that a man was seen lying at the side of the roadway with wounds to the upper body, including his head. He was earlier seen being thrown from the car, said police.
