This morning, police discovered a lifeless body in a drain at Charles Trace, Esmeralda Road, Cunupia.
According to reports, around 6:45, a passerby stumbled upon the body in a drain on the eastern side of Esmeralda road.
Police received and responded to an anonymous telephone call about a man lying motionless in thearea.

They arrived at the scene and discovered a male lying face down in the drain, with stab wounds to theback of the head.
The body was clad in a blue and grey jersey and black long pants, and was later identified as 57-year-old Leon Anthony Byron.
Police say Byron previously lived at 52 Murray Road, Morvant and had recently moved to Charles Trace.
